Have you heard about the upcoming Road Diet Test? The goal is to see if reconfiguring Lincoln from 4 lanes to 3 (with a turn lane in the middle and bike lanes down the sides) calms traffic and helps it flow more smoothly and safely through Willow Glen -- downtown for now (Minnesota to Coe) and if successful much further.

Watch this video to learn more about how road diets work, and read the minutes of the last working group meeting at http://www.willowglen.org/lincoln-road-diet to learn about the test plan -- like how they'll adjust traffic light timing and measure impact on surrounding streets with FORTY TWO monitoring stations before, during and after the test.

The working group continues to refine the plan and tweak it based on community feedback, so share your specific questions and concerns by emailing lincolnroaddiet@gmail.com. The next community meeting will be on February 12, location and time TBD.
