The Chase Bank at the corner of Lincoln and Minnesota is one of the most beautiful banks you’ll see thanks in large part to the murals that adorn it and this sculpture just outside. It’s called Mother and Child and was created by John Edward Svenson. Three of them were produced: the one we know, another in San Bernadino, and one on Wilshire Blvd. in Los Angeles. The sculpture was originally installed as part of a water feature, but it was filled in and turned in to a flowerbed during the drought of the late 80s. You can learn more about the history of the bank’s artwork here.
